The paper presents the thesis that passive smoking is not significantly dangerous to health for three reasons. The paper discusses the lack of material evidence proving the harmful effects of second-hand smoke, the myth-based misconceptions about second-hand smoke, and a lack of adequate information. The paper maintains that research findings have failed to establish a concrete relationship between passive smoking and chronic health ailments.
From the Paper:
"Smoking and passive-smoking have been two-sides of the same coin and it's a hot topic nowadays. Every now and then, we hear about the on-going, controversial debate regarding passive smoking also called second-hand smoking and Environmental Tobacco Smoke abbreviated as ETS. Just like every debate, this topic of utter concern to every level of the society's hierarchy has two sides to it; the proponents who are for smoking and the opponents who are not only against smoking but are also vehemently against passive smoking."
