A persuasive discussion on global warming and climate change and their consequences.
2,326 words (approx. 9.3 pages) | 6 sources | MLA | 2009 United States

Paper Summary:

The paper describes the climate changes that are already occurring and their impact on wildlife, sealife, our ecosystems and economies. The paper looks at global solutions and the measures that, in the writer's view, are of vital importance. The writer strongly believes that global warming or climate change is a reality and asserts that those who believe global warming does not exist, that it does not pose a threat and that man is not the cause of this climate change, will cause the planet and her people to suffer great, irreparable damage.

From the Paper:

"Climate change has been a natural occurrence on Earth ever since its creation. There are well-known cooling and warming trends that have gradually led to ice ages, and warming again, and scientists have known about these trends for a great number of years. Climate change is a natural process, and because it has always happened so gradually, the Earth, which is extremely resilient, has always weathered these climate change storms. In the past, climate change has been a result of very gradual changes in the sun's intensity, the Earth's rotation around the sun, and even changes in the ocean's circulation (Editors). However, during the past 200 years, man's continuing reliance on industry and fossil fuels has sped up the process."
