This paper describes the fast food industry and reveals that the waste and overflow of fast food products is one of the largest contributors to pollution. The paper relates that currently there are no federal laws or regulations in the U.S. specifically aimed at getting fast food chains to reduce, reuse or recycle their waste. Fast food is described as a meal of portion prepared ready to eat within moments after it is ordered with proficiency in minimal service. This factor of fast food is one of which extends its overall convenience, and therefore, its high popularity. Another distinct characteristic within the regards of fast food is that all I establishments categorized as fast food entail the customer paying for their meal before it is consumed. The price of fast food is also significantly less than that of other food establishments, and this is yet another reason correlating to the mass consumption of the industries products."
