"I pondered what had happened. I had never been through a management change and found it hard to adapt. I felt like a body with two heads. Feeling caught between the managers I took refuge waiting for the situation to clear. Investors' fury came as a wake up call. I realized I can't get through the muddle taking a back seat. I did not have to wait long for a second chance. I found it the following month. It struck me that the managers could be facing difficulties to adapt as I was. I worked with them to help solve their differences. I met investors to understand their concerns. I saw how important communication and trust are to a team. Trust comes with time. I did my best to open up communication within the team and with the investors. The following month, we submitted a report complete with budget changes and monthly cash flow projections to the end of the project, making an impression on the investors. I became aware of problems employees face going through organizational changes. When I manage projects, I will guide my organization through such changes, keep people informed and seek to understand their concerns. It was hard going through the process but looking back I am glad for the experience it gave me."
