My Personal Goals in Consideration

From the Paper:

"Having the opportunity to contribute to the education of young children is something which I have aspired to all my life. The capacity to instill knowledge into young minds is quite exciting, as the results are visible and tangible. Given that it is my goal to teach, there is a great deal of existing literature presenting innumerable potential means of practices the profession. Of these, I have identified the theory of Multiple Intelligences by Howard Gardner as being particularly applicable to my personal ideas, as well as the teachings of Maria Montessori. In teaching, I wish to not only teach the children math and reading, that which is in their books, and then send them off into the world. Rather, what I want to accomplish as a teacher is to better prepare my students to face the challenges of the world, whether in a book or not. By considering the thoughts of these two particular individuals, my ideas and goals in teaching are further clarified."
