Paper Summary:
This paper is written in the first person. It describes the writer's personal experiences as an intern at the Senator's office. It describes the writer's responsibilities in the position and how these responsibilities evolved once he demonstrated his abilities within the organization. The paper provides examples of significant projects that he worked on during the internship.
From the Paper:
"The internship at the Senator's office was a rewarding experience. Initially my responsibilities in the position were quite limited. However, after the occurrence of a community crisis and my ability to demonstrate my abilities within the organization, my responsibilities expanded to include tasks that were more challenging in nature. Through maintaining historical records, working to assist the Senator's staff with community issues and raising funding for the historical steam engine I found that the duties within this office are limitless and the people that perform them are indeed concerned for every Texas in the Eastern District."
