"In April of 1997, I was hired for the summer by a local landscaper, Nicky Headon of Headon Landscaping, to help out with some of his clients. Keeping busy was not a problem, as I found that maintaining boutique lawns, gardens, and shrubbery was literally a never ending job extending over three seasons, not to mention physically challenging for a 19-year-old woman used to working in retail. Having fun, however, was a different matter entirely as the senior gardener I was paired with, Danny Cauzillo, had a penchant for listening to baseball games and keeping quietly to himself, something I would try to change over the summer of 1997."
