1,089 words (approx. 4.4 pages) | 4 sources | MLA | 2008 United States

Paper Summary:

The paper discusses two movies ,"Swordfish" and "The Italian Job" which demonstrate how technology is taking a more and more important role in film making. The paper also points out how film makers make their movies more exciting to the audience by using Internet, mobile phones or other wireless electronic systems in their storylines.

From the Paper:

"Both movies use cell phones for communication. In Swordfish, even Stan's little daughter has one. She is waiting in front of her school for her mother and as she is not showing up, she tries calling her. This girl is maybe ten years old; I know for sure when I was her age that I did not have a mobile phone! Gabriel uses this electronic device a lot as well. He calls Stan's bank in order to let them verify through his social security number that he transferred money to his bank account. Furthermore, he talks to the FBI demanding a plane on the runway in twenty minutes and warns them about keeping the distance to the school bus he is using for his escape. "
