This paper offers a thorough analysis of the science-fiction film, "Matrix." The paper provides details of the actors who played in the movie, its main theme and special effects.
From the Paper:
"The exposition of the film starts approximately two hundred years in the past around the year nineteen hundred and ninety-nine and curiously enough continues almost throughout the entire film. The main idea being that the captain and crew of the "Nebuchadnezzar" are seeking out the one person who can aid them in ridding the world of the machines that have enslaved the human race. The root conflict of the film seems to be easy enough to identify, that being man vs. self Mr. Thomas A. Anderson AKA: "Neo" played by Keanu Reeves coming to grips with the fact that he is "The One" and his difficulty in dealing with his destiny. The inciting incident comes in to play about twenty-two minutes in to the film when "Morpheus" played by Laurence Fishburn tells Neo on the phone that he is "The One" just before the meeting below the Adams street bridge. There are three outstanding examples of root action that are focused upon in this film: First, Morpheus thoroughly explains the matrix and mankind's situation to Neo inside the construct program in hopes to bring him to the truth. Second, "The oracle" an ancient human soothsayer tries to nudge Neo into believing or rather knowing that he is "The One." Third, Morpheus again tries to tell Neo after his rescue from the federal facility that there is a big difference between "knowing the path and walking the path" trying to convince him that knowing what he is and being it are not always one in the same."
