"This psychological study will analyze the various societal aspects of gender role stereotype, as they appear in the film Working Girl, directed by Mike Nichols. In this manner, various issues of sexism and negative stereotyping in the workplace arise, as the secretary Tess McGill must endure male patriarchal aggression. Through understanding the various stereotypes of gender and class status in this film, one can realize how women are judged by various behaviors in gender within corporate patriarchal institutions.
