This paper will discuss how the self and society have taken on different places in the social strata of class development. The main theme of this paper will be to focus on woman in the workplace and see how sex has transgressed the class structure of a society by their involvement in the workplace, rather than in the house raising children. The individual woman, who may be based traditionally by the housewife class identification, is now becoming more work orientated outside of this class definition.
