The DEA and the Federal Bureau of Investigations and the U.S. Customs, part of the Department of Homeland Security) along with the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force and made a list of 53 most significant drug cartels that threaten the United States, called the Consolidated Priority Organization Target (CPOT) list, which is kept up to date to identify the suppliers to the United states and keep them in check."
