"The third chapter of this book explains that there is an assumption in many modern Christians that when they preach their audience knows the historical background of the bible. Metzger explains that this is often not the case, therefore it is imperative to explain the basic fundamental tenants of the bible as well as to provide detail when actually addressing a specific topic or lesson of the bible. Only in this way can we make sure that the listener is not alienated from our presumption of his knowledge. Metzger provides a way for the gospel to be work through five fundamental deliverances given in order to explain the fundamentals of the God centered gospel. It is who is God, God centered living, self centered living ,Jesus Christ: The way back to life, and Coming home. Through these five easy to explain steps anyone can explain the fundamentals of why living a God centered life is the ideal."
