"The play Riot by Andrew Moodie examines the lives of 6 young African-Canadians sharing a house in Toronto. During their time in the house the Rodney King verdict was televised and a riot broke out in Toronto. Each of the characters in this book is dealing with a wide range of issues. The responses of the various characters to various issues are very complicated. Identity politics is one way to analyze the behaviors of the various characters.
