"The history of weaponry across the globe has changed according to the lives of the individuals in various countries, and at various stages in technology. In the early days of the world individuals had to be creative and use natural materials for weaponry, yet, in these modern times nuclear weapons that have the capacity of killing millions of people at one time are evident in even the most minor countries across the globe. This paper will provide a brief history of weaponry, and how society's purpose for using weapons has differed throughout time. In the 1400s the weapon of choice was the matchlock. "The Matchlock secured a lighted wick in a movable arm which, when the trigger was depressed, was brought down against the flash pan to ignite the powder" ("Matchlock"). This system was new for the period, and was a welcome advancement of personal weaponry that the country had not..."
