"This report will discuss the current public affairs issue of water rationing in Los Angeles. The city of Los Angeles does not have its own source for fresh water, which must be pumped in from other sources in California and along the Colorado River. This fact is made worse by the occasional droughts which occur in Southern California. Currently, Los Angeles is facing a very severe drought which is having a damaging effect on the city's water supply. In fact, this is the fifth year in a row in which the area is being subjected to a drought. The need for water rationing in Los Angeles has become a very important issue involving a variety of actors on both the state and local levels.
