For 2005 total revenues were $31.9b which represented a $1b increase over the previous fiscal year. Disney lines of business also include television enterprises, such as ABC and ESPN as well as a publishing arm. Among some of its more well-known movie studios are Touchstone, Miramax and the recently acquired Pixar (Disney, 2005). Disney's resorts and theme parks are the world's most well-known in the industry supported in large part by the popularity of its historic children's characters such as Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Goofy, and Pluto."
