Problems of specification of intellectual property have become more controversial with the spread of digital technology in the form of computers. Print media have advantages that arise from their tangible form, over music, film and designs of commercial importance, though elements of subjectivity in judging whether a piece of work is a copy or essentially new, cannot be avoided altogether. The migration of mature economies from manufacturing to services has heightened the need to protect intangible assets. "
