"Home Depot and Lowe's are two retailers with gilded business reputations - and deservedly so. The following paper will explore the staffing programs, compensation programs and benefits programs of these two companies and note the differences which exist - if any exist at all. As should soon become apparent, these two successful organizations are far more alike than they are different. To begin with, Home Depot's staffing programs are among the best in the entire retail sector. For example, the company works industriously to establish strong links between itself and business schools throughout America and is well-known for its internship program - a program which can obviously lead to full-time employment but which also orientates promising young people with the technical, logistical and business side of Home Depot."
