This paper examines how transsexualism is a topic much in the news at the moment and how in layman's terms we know this condition as being that of people who seek sex changes because they believe they are trapped in the wrong body. It discusses how some people see this as a form of mental illness and think that people with this condition need to be counseled to accept their biological gender. It also discusses how some people even think that people who want to change gender are sexual perverts who should be shunned, punished or killed.
