Sara Tuvel Bernstein's memoir, "The Seamstress: A Memoir of Survival", is one of the most memorable of first-person accounts of survival during the Holocaust. The book is well-told by the late Bernstein and deserves a prominent place in the archive of Holocaust survival stories. In 1944, she was transported with her sister and two friends to the Ravensbruck concentration camp. In a moving afterward, Seren's daughter describes her mother's strong personality.
