"The Other Place"

This paper discusses an outreach organization known as "The Other Place". According to the paper, it is a "a community where there is no homelessness" and the simple mission of "The Other Place" is "To actively counter all causes and conditions of homelessness through advocacy, education and service". While these might be simple statements, the paper shows us how it is far from simplistic. This organization is not merely a "feel-good" place that dispenses stories and pretty platitudes. The people of "The Other Place" live its vision in the middle of the community. And, as the driving force behind it all, is Executive Director, Tina Patterson.
