This paper relates the story of Jesus and his followers as depicted in the The New Testament. The paper relates the twenty-seven books of the New Testament, which are the foundation of the church, do not represent or explain all Christian doctrine but rather are often parables and analogies for today. According to the paper, the church must exchange these good words for good deeds in the spirit of community fellowship and Christian brotherhood.
From the Paper:
"Our congregations today are well versed in Luke and the other books and pastors are, for the most part, extremely well versed in their interpretation. It is, however, the body of the congregation itself, the body of the local church, which seems to be mysterious. New graduates of seminary school are more traumatized by the idea of dealing with the congregation than by any other single matter.
"Bob Dylan sang of the times a'changin' in the 60s and he was right. The times are still a'changin' today. Life evolves even as it ebbs and flows."
