Does it not, in a certain sense, already have an experience-independent existence, unless we assume phenomenology? But the problem is that the philosophical inquiry in Yandell begins with the assumption that religions need to somehow defend the truth value of their claims. While monotheistic Christianity dwells in the house of dependency and the subjugation to the prying eyes of a radical Other, like God; Jainism does not."
