Paper Summary:
A look at the complexities of the Iran Hostage crisis. The author examines its causes and how it affected President Jimmy Carter, president at the time.
From the Paper:
"The Iran Hostage Crisis will remain a thorn in former President Jimmy Carter's well-known side. Although Carter attempted to return the hostages to freedom, he was thwarted. The president was unable to deal effectively with such a situation, and the United States was unforgiving, thus he was not reelected president. Reagan replaced Carter and only hours after Carter left his position in the White House, the Americans were freed."
