Franklin Delano Roosevelt pushed a flurry of legislation that put the federal government into the American economy in an unprecedented manner. Different agencies were formed to battle The Great Depression and Roosevelt dubbed this action the New Deal. The Germans implemented the Reinhart Plan that called for increased government spending towards three sectors, public works such as roads, canals and renovation of office-buildings.
