This paper discusses the philosophy of "good life" given by the great thinker, Aristotle. The paper shows that Aristotle was of the opinion that there are certain external and internal goods available to man, and it is through the attainment of internal goods that man is able to live a life that can be identified as a "good life". The author of the paper uses personal life experiences to convey examples of Aristotle's philosophy.

"A man cannot achieve reasoning power by nature alone, God may have instilled in us the potential to gain control over our passions, but it is only through practical application of reason that man can actually put that potential to use. But how should a man attain reason? According to Aristotle man can achieve reason through avoiding the two extremes. For example, man achieves good health if he consumes just the right amount of food. Eating too much would only lead to several health problems including obesity, on the other hand eating too little would make him sick. Therefore Aristotle maintains that man should always act moderately, avoiding both extremes and this is what constitutes reason."
