This paper explains that, in 1989, HP and SAP entered into a strategic partnership to offer integrated solutions for the computer industry assuming that the business solutions they provide together would be much better and more profitable than any of the products in the industry. The author points out that, while the alliance has proved to be profitable, working with different cultures and collaborating in an industry, where knowledge and intelligence of the employee determine the viability of the company, can be challenging. The paper stresses that the common objects and goals set for the partnership should benefit both companies equally; Microsoft and Intel have been able to generate tremendous profits for each other due to their collaborative efforts in the development of new processors and the software codes for these processors.Table of Contents
