Paper Summary:
This paper examines how "The Coming of the French Revolution" by M. Georges Lefebvre is an attempt to explain how the French Revolution occurred and how the events unfolded.
From the Paper:
"One of the most important questions that this book asks is that if the Revolution was truly needed in order for the French to have a better government, which in turn would help them to a better life. Lefebvre did believe that the Revolution needed to happen, but he believed that Revolution would have been almost unavoidable. He believed that the government that had been established would have failed eventually. The people who had been in charge did not have the motivation to keep a successful government running."
