This paper discusses how the evolution of filmmaking has allowed for immense advancements in how stories are told to the public. In all film the scenery and the cinematography play a vital role in creating the world in which the plot of the film exists. This paper further discusses how too often critics and the public will focus on the fame of actors or the intricacies of the plot, without concern for how the story unfolds visually through the lens of the camera. The films 'Hero', from China and 'Life is Beautiful', from Italy provided significant stories about the cultures of people from these countries.
