The paper discusses how Angels, Satan, eternity and prosperity are all addressed in the basic teachings of the Christian faith. Although the modern world seems compelled to discount these teachings at times, it is important for Christians not to forget them. Without the guidance of angels, the power of Satan, or the promise of eternity, our material world would hold little comfort and hope for our eventual salvation would inevitably slip from our grasp.

"Christianity is rife with images of the inhabitants of the afterlife. Angels, cherubim, seraphim and departed souls--all of these inhabit the Kingdom of God, which exists for all eternity. Of course, the afterlife is not entirely a positive state of existence. Satan exists in opposition to God. In addition, prosperity leads to the temptations of earthly pleasures. Earthly wealth is considered an actual impediment to entering Heaven. These things are among the most basic tenets of Christianity. But how do modern Christians perceive them? Are angels and Satan still considered beings that interact with humanity, or are they merely symbolic and mythical beings? Do we, as souls, continue through eternity? Or do we dissipate and circulate as part of "the circle of life?" Is the notion of wealth as an impediment outmoded?"
