Technology and the Internet

Paper Summary:

This paper examines the undisputed value of the internet on our everyday lives, but also states that there are several problems related to this technology. The writer claims that these problems need to be examined and action taken to control them so that the internet can become as beneficial as possible. To look at these issues further, firstly the current uses of the internet are examined. This is followed by a look at the problems that are arising, which illustrate the potential security problems that exist.

The public has the opportunity to shop online, to study online, to meet people online, and to research any area that interests them. For the business community, the Internet is both a place to advertise and sell their products as well as a way to manage their businesses by using the Internet to connect offices around the world. The Internet has also become an important part of the media, with news and almost endless information available online. All these uses are beneficial, but the Internet also creates problems that need to be managed."
