For the three months ended 3/31/02, revenues increased 21% to $847.4 million . Net loss before acct. change fell 89% to $24 million. Revenues benefited from recent price reductions for books, a new shipping option and growth in the international segment. Lower loss reflects reduced goodwill amortization and restructuring charges."
