Paper Summary:
This paper focuses on Stradivari and the biographical nature of his life. Additionally, the features of his distinct instruments are discussed, as are the more renowned instruments. Theories and replications of Stradivarius in today's world are also heavily emphasized.
From the Paper:
"The values of Stradivari's instruments are quite high in their amount; the same can be said of the critics. Before the Great War, interests in such instruments were largely confined to Europe. However, with the coming of increasing globalization and soaring reputations of firms dedicated to the selling and dealing of fine and rare instruments such as Wurlitzer and Hills (Mark 56), interest and values of Strads' as well as any other fine collectible, skyrocketed, and proportionately, so did the amount of criticism. Indubitably, the richness and complexity of Strad tones, which are incomparably superior to those of other instruments, was noticed by the general public. "
