One of the most important types of statistical data that hospitals increasingly track is equipment usage rates because most hospital equipment and technology is cost-inhibitive and therefore hospitals cannot afford to inventory excessive amounts of equipment or technology. In order to ensure adequate return on investment (ROI), accurate statistical usage must be employed to maximize usage rates. "
