2,730 words (approx. 10.9 pages) | 10 sources | APA | 2005 United States

Paper Summary:

This paper explains the reasons people feel different emotions and goes into key ways to finding happiness. It discusses the characteristics of happy people and takes a scientific look at where our emotions come from.

From the Paper:

"The psychology of emotion is something that has been immensely studied throughout the years, yet it still is not fully understood by even the most insightful researchers. Emotions are triggered by physiological activation, expressive behavior, and conscious experience (Myers, 2004). The interaction of these factors is what causes us to feel the way we do. There are many theories as to how and why these factors interact with each other, not to mention the way we react to them. Three main theories can be found within Psychology."
