From the Paper:

"How to study society This essay will examine two views of what society is, how it is formed, how to analyze it and what drives change within it. The first is put forward by C. Wright Mills (1999) in which he envisions sociological imagination as a tool which enables individuals to understand "the larger historical scene in terms of its meaning for the inner life and the external career of a variety of individuals" (348). The second view is from the creative reading and is put forward by Ferlinghetti. In his poem Ferlinghetti presents his own very personal analysis of society."
