From the Paper:

"Siebel has been a well managed company that has dominated the CRM market for some time by offering unmatched depth and breadth functionality for the multifaceted needs of large enterprises. Now, it is challenged by back-office software giants that have added CRM products to their application portfolios. Siebel has never been a huge success in the small and midsize business market, but continues to invent new ways to hawk its complex product line to this market. Here it competes against smaller suppliers that have ever increasing financial viability issues. But, this will all change this year when Microsoft debuts its CRM solution sometime early this year."
