The sibling relationship represents a unique and important relationship in the development of personal and social skills, but the nature of relationship changes through out the life course in response to depreciating health, geographic proximity to siblings and as a consequence of the changing life events experienced. Despite all of these changes, the sibling relationship still remains as in important and intimate relationship.
