The paper discusses how Shamanism is one of the oldest religions in Korea, originating in ancient times and continuing today. Shamanism has its long history as the belief of tradition is deeply embedded in Korean society. Some evidence shows that certain shamanistic rituals have remained almost unchanged throughout the history, yet shamanism adapted itself with each historical period.
