Navel compares perversions to a kind of hunger, as the logical reason is that sexual desire is a hunger. The paper then discusses his argument following Freud's psychological theory about maturity and fixated development. Nagel's entire argument is based on heterosexual relationships being the norm or standard. According to this paper, his argument is inconclusive because he maintains that perversions can be found along with what is normal.
