"Training may take place in a variety of settings. Informal training is common. This is primarily incidental training that the organizational member receives either by the advice of other members or on the job experience. However, well-organized, comprehensive, formal training programs have been shown to produce better results. The challenge with training programs, such as sexual harassment awareness programs, where training is targeted at changing a behavior, is that these programs are rarely evaluated by organizations after their implementation."
