"Miller and Form (1980) report that there have always been status delineations within the organization based upon position status and gender. These delineations address all levels of the organizational hierarchy, ranging from the lowest position to the highest position and, for the most part, tend not to be equally assigned between the genders. For men, there is more emphasis placed upon position status, while, for women, the emphasis is placed upon both position status and gender status. Contingent upon the situation under consideration, the emphasis on gender status may override that of position status. Miller and Form (1980) report that:
