" The purpose of this paper is to discuss the origins of the sexual division of labor in the earliest human societies, with the idea that this separation was based on physical differences between male and female. This study will be based on the perspective presented by Peter N. Stearns in his book Be A Man!: Males in Modern Society. According to his viewpoint, it became apparent in primitive times that men are taller, heavier and stronger than women, and this fact gave men a basis for "superiority" through strength and intimidation.
