Lastly, it examines the developmental techniques which Franz Schubert, its composer, used to create tension and climax in order to make this piece a journey.

"It seems that our culture embraces artistry and artists that are gone too soon, whose lives are extinguished prematurely. This is no different in classical music, as all too many composers in the canon have died while still in their creative prime. One of these classical composers, Franz Schubert, left the world his famed "Unfinished Symphony," as well as a body of acclaimed piano music, orchestral pieces, and songs. Yet, despite the abrupt end to Schubert's life, many of his final pieces seem to take an overarching and intelligent look at themes that he had previously investigated and developed, while making these ideas unique and fresh. The final three piano sonatas that Schubert penned, D. 958, D. 959, and D. 960, are often referred to together. Yet this essay shall look at the second section of the second of these sonatas, the Andantino movement of Piano Sonata ..."
