This paper looks at the different divisions and considerations of risk management in justice organizations and security industries. The paper explains that these levels of risk include the risks of personal, property, and liability risks that must be managed to minimize financial loss. The paper further explains that role of risk management within justice organizations and security organizations is to minimize or control these risks. The paper then discusses the benefits of properly performed risk analyses and how they will not only identify vulnerabilities within the organization but will also identify solutions to address the vulnerabilities and minimize financial losses.

"A properly performed risk analysis in a justice organization can provide many benefits. It may work slightly differently than in a security atmosphere but achieve the same objectives. In a situation of a police officer involved shooting, a risk analysis assessment can be a useful tool to see if protocol was followed, what protocols need to be updated, and what additional training may be needed. A risk analysis can be used in additional manners in justice organizations as well in terms of improvement of training methods and protocols prior to incidents happening and assessing equipment needs out in the field as well. A properly performed risk analysis may reduce risk liabilities by locating vulnerabilities and addressing them. T
