Religion as a Tool for Manipulating the Poor

This paper examines the ongoing struggle and strife between the nations of Pakistan and India and looks at how the elites in both countries have gained political power and control by using religion to manipulate the poor and uneducated. The war in neighbouring Afghanistan has positioned it at the very centre of global attention and projected its military ruler, General Pervez Musharraf, onto the world stage."
