While Europe has historically been region dominated by Christianity, the impact of modern secularism together with the rise of Islam through immigration, has led scholars to reexamine the relations between the state and religion in modern Europe. In addressing this question this paper attempts a comparative analysis between two countries: Great Britain and Germany.
