In addition to the primary goal of meeting the increased output goal, this plan is designed with the following objectives; to develop and execute a recruitment plan with minimal cost and time; to provide SMC with appropriately qualified candidates; build and sustain SMC's core competencies; manage the increase in staff/output effectively with the least effect on productivity and employee satisfaction. In preparation of the changes to the company, and in light of recent labor organization activities in neighboring companies, a limited candidate pool and a small community, SMC employee relations must focus to ensure that all employees are informed of the positive nature of this transition period."
