It describes the influence of machinery on their social order, as an example, Weber claimed that a "modern judge is a vending machine".

Weber's theories and conclusions of bureaucracy are coupled with his interests in the nature of power and authority, this is co joined with his views all- encompassing preoccupation with modern theories and trends that link to the rationalizations of man's self images and views (Coser 230)."
